SYNOPSIS

In the early 1900s, a wealthy alchemist, Jacques St. Germaine, travels to New Orleans to seek help from the legendary voodoo priestess Marie Laveau. When a spate of murders are uncovered, Jacques and the quarreling locals butt heads as they try to discover the identity of the killer. Featuring a cast of characters pulled from actual police reports, Dinner with the Alchemist weaves historical fact and imaginative storytelling into a mysterious supernatural drama.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS

KEVIN GOOD - DIRECTOR, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, EDITOR

Kevin Good grew up in a Washington, DC suburb and holds dual citizenship with the U.S. and Brazil. Kevin studied finance as an undergrad, but his creative passions led him to working on music and then film. He has worked on diverse projects, from creating television pilots for Fox Television Studios, to shooting interactive choose-your- own-adventure films for the U.S. Army. More recently he’s directed countless television commercials, building up his chops and learning how to work better, faster.

To the public, he’s best known for writing/hosting the web-series Weapons of Mass Production, which made learning about filmmaking irreverent and engaging. Dinner with the Alchemist is Kevin’s feature film-directorial debut.

JENNA ST. JOHN - EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, WRITER, SUPPORTING ACTOR

Jenna was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She got her start in the performing arts as a child actor on a popular Korean kids TV show. She moved to the United States at age 16 and later graduated from Colorado State University and received her Master’s in Fiction Writing from George Mason University. Having studied ballet since early childhood, Jenna’s first job out of college to “pay the bills” was dancing with a professional ballet company.

Since childhood, Jenna has been a prolific writer. As a young actress, she grew tired of the one-dimensional roles she would play, so she decided to shift her focus from prose to screenwriting.
