The Three Stooges In "Myrt & Marge" (1933) (video)

One of the earliest screen appearances of The Three Stooges was a substantial role in the 1933 comedy-musical "Myrt and Marge."

They were still being billed as "Howard, Fine, and Howard."

And they were still the "stooges" of top banana Ted Healy.

Great 3 Stooges Running Gag: "Heads Or Tails?" (video)

The Stooges all flip a coin and decide that the odd man loses.

Sometimes Moe and Larry pull a fast one on unsuspecting Curly.

Sometimes Moe hoodwinks the other two.

And sometimes a third (fourth?) party gets the business!

The Three Stooges (with Ted Healy) in "Hollywood Party" (1934) (video)

"Hollywood Party" (1934) is a hodge-podge of loosely-linked comedy sketches.

Many comics of the time appear including an unbilled Three Stooges.

It would be their final screen appearance with top banana Ted Healy.
