Former TWC Executive Dan Guando Joins Bloom as President of Production
DAN GUANDO JOINS BLOOM AS PRESIDENT OF PRODUCTION
LOS ANGELES (January 4, 2017) – Alex Walton and Ken Kao announced today that Dan Guando is joining BLOOM as the President of Production. Guando will report to Alex Walton and will oversee and grow BLOOM’s film slate. This hire sets the stage for BLOOM to enter into content creation and ownership, on top of its status as a top tier international licensing company. Guando will relocate from New York City to Los Angeles.
BLOOM, founded by Walton and producer / financier Ken Kao in 2014, has seen significant development over the last few years. The company’s diversified 2017 slate includes: Scott Cooper’s Hostiles starring Christian Bale and Rosamund Pike; Martin Zandvliet’s The Outsider starring Jared Leto; Federico D’ Alessandro’s Tau starring Maika Monroe and Ed Skrein; Paul Weitz’s Bel Canto starring Julianne Moore and Ken Watanabe; Danny Strong’s Rebel in the Rye starring Nicholas Hoult; George Clooney’s Suburbicon starring Matt Damon and Julianne Moore; and Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s Woodshock starring Kirsten Dunst.

Dan Guando worked at The Weinstein Company for twelve years, most recently serving as the U.S. Head of Acquisitions, Production, and Development. During his time at TWC, Dan oversaw the acquisition and release of dozens of films, including: The Imitation Game, The Artist, Fruitvale Station, Philomena, The Grandmaster, Snowpiercer, Blue Valentine, Begin Again, Sing Street, and The Founder.
