FILM HOUSE GERMANY’s SUMMERSTORM ENTERTAINMENT TAPS JOHN MOORE TO DIRECT "N.O.C."

RainMaker Films is Financing with Radiant Films International/ Cargo Entertainment Handling International Sales

CANNES (May 12, 2016) –– Film House Germany has tapped John Moore (A Good Day to Die Hard, I.T) to direct its upcoming action-thriller N.O.C.. Gabriela Bacher will produce for Summerstorm Entertainment, a subsidiary of Film House Germany, alongside Vandal Entertainment’s Navid McIlhargey and Cargo Entertainment’s Marina Grasic. John Moore, Peter Veverka, Christian Angermayer and Klemens Hallmann will executive produce. Mimi Steinbauer for Radiant Films International/Cargo Entertainment is handling foreign sales, beginning in Cannes. Production is scheduled to commence at the end of summer in Berlin.

Penned by Dave Matalon and Daniel Scott Gordon, N.O.C. follows Alek, a CIA deep undercover operative who discovers that a faction of the agency is actively collaborating with the terrorist cell he was sent to infiltrate. Stuck in a hospital in Berlin and with the help of Corinne, the EMT who saved his life, Alek must evade both the agency and the terrorists, if he wants to bring the evidence of the unsanctioned special op to the people he thinks he can trust.

“N.O.C. is a complex, brain-twisting thriller, a bold, ‎hard-edged story, ripped from the headlines. And John Moore is the creative force for this kind of character-driven action film with an enthralling political undercurrent,” said Gabriela Bacher and Navid McIlhargey.

Moore takes on the project with a host of action credits in tow, including: A Good Day to Die Hard, Max Payne and Behind Enemy Lines. His work can next be seen in I.T., starring Pierce Brosnan and Anna Friel.  Moore is represented by Paradigm.

N.O.C.  is the latest in one of a number of projects on Film House Germany’s robust slate – a Berlin-based multi-faceted media company founded by Christian Angermayer. Film House Germany recently announced Marco Kreuzpaintner Undying which will star Patrick Schwarzenegger and Liana Liberato.  The current film slate includes: Byron Willinger & Phil De Blasi’s Command and Control; Ciro Guerra’s The Detainee; Emma Holly Jones’ Everything Carries Me to You; The Feud directed by Steven C.
