"Skins" Stars Reunite in New Thriller Movie

BLOOD MONEY

Worldwide 7 March 2017

Skins actors Ollie Barbieri (JJ Jones) and Klariza Clayton (Karen Mclair) reunite in a tense new thriller, Blood Money. Released this week, the film is available to watch on several major online platforms including iTunes, Amazon Video, Google Play and the Microsoft Store.

It’s been 10 years since Skins first aired on E4 and the characters have all grown up. Today Barbieri has transformed himself from JJ, the socially inept teenager, to Reese, the wily and sharp-witted leader of the gang in Blood Money - a psychological thriller in which five friends are forced to hole up in a deserted holiday home after a botched robbery.

The film also stars the 2016 BIFA nominee Scott Chambers, who was recently compared to ‘a young DiCaprio’ by renowned BBC critic Mark Kermode for his portrayal of Richard, a troubled 15 year old with learning difficulties in Joe Stephenson’s Chicken.

The film is directed by Luke White and co-produced with his twin brother Edward White.

The story begins after a botched heist in France, as a group of friends are left with a body on their hands and the French police hot on their trail. They hide the body and make a plan to sell the painting and return home. But as they wait for the chance to escape from their secluded holiday home, they realise the body has gone missing. Paranoia and fear sets in and the friends begin to turn on each other. Soon it is clear there’s a killer in the house and the group must figure out who is responsible before they all suffer the consequences…
