The evil Soran (Malcolm McDowell) has placed a tiny camera in Geordi's visor...
...allowing him to view the Enterprise's shield modulation...
...which then allows the Klingon sisters Lursa and B'Etor to launch a surprise attack!
This leads to what I regard as the second coolest scene in the whole movie.
