The word "groovy" was so commonly heard in the 1960s and beyond...
...many think that's when it originated.
But it actually began to appear in movies some years earlier. Such as:
"Miss Annie Rooney" (1942)
"Groovie Movie" (1944)
"Up In Arms" (1945)
"Miracle On 34th Street" Trailer (1947)
