Curly's Swan Song As A Stooge: "Half-Wits Holiday" (1947) (video)

Curly's Swan Song As A Stooge: "Half-Wits Holiday" (1947)

A remake of 1935's "Hoi Polloi", this was Curly's final Three Stooges short...
...before being replaced by his brother Shemp.

After his first stroke, Curly's performances often suffered.
His timing and energy were off, and his speech was sometimes slurred.

At times Curly is able to recapture moments of his old magic.

While filming the party sequence Curly  would suffer a crippling stroke.
These are his final moments as a Stooge.

Curly is conspicuously absent from the final scenes...
...as a downcast Moe and Larry finish the short as a duo.

Curly would return for a brief cameo in "Hold That Lion" (1947)...
...but never again as a Stooge.

I neither own nor claim any rights to this material.  Just having some fun with it.  Thanks for watching!
